my brother in his car has a JVC KD-R436 deck, bluetooth ect.
when he turns off his car his deck stays on, we have tried to disconnect in the back and reconnect it, checked the fuse its ok
every time you get in or out you have to manually turn off/on
any ideas of how to fix?

its wired wrong.

it requires a constant 12v and a switched 12 volt in the wiring. you have it hooked up to 2 constant 12 volt wires.

red is generally the one that gets put on constant 12 volt wire and yellow for the switch 12 volt.

if you don't have a test light then get one or if you know of something like the cigarette lighter that goes on/off with the cars ignition just run a wire to the fuse for the cigarette lighter.

The wiring is fine, it was working good until his battery died and I think it was brakemax that changed his battery
But since then it won't shut off automatically
