Googled and came up with responses all over the board.

From people saying it won't stick, to the added weight fucking shit up, to it being perfectly fine.

Opinions?

plasti-dip maybe

paint no

i say no on paint simply because i don't think it would turn out looking like anything but shit because it would run pretty badly most likely.

you can do either but plastidip would be the safer way to go.

The paint would like fine. I have a friend who runs a restoration shop who I would get to do it.

Edit: any reason other then the running your concerned about?

long term i don't know how well it would hold up considering you can't put much on them is another reason.

you'd have to be very very clear with your friend you want it done with the least paint used possible. you never know how these will turn out if you put too much paint weight on them so light and hope for the best pretty much.

thats why i'm saying plastidip them. if it sounds worse...peel it off. if you paint them and it sounds bad you are just screwed.

nice. you may consider doing a mesh speaker cover or something if you don't like the way the sub looks.

that's what im saying. paint the cover and you don't have to worry about ruining the sub.
