already have a head unit? if not you'll need one.

are you wanting to just run low power 20-ish rms watts or amp them? 60+rms watts is generally what an amp gets you.

if you aren't wanting to amp then keep using the rear speakers because thats the way to get the most power from the head unit.

also is this is an extended cab or 4 door truck?

its 4 door and nope i will be wanting to buy a head unit as well, opinions on good head units is needed here aswell, as i dont know anything about them either
reason i said i want disconnect my rear speakers is im pretty sure they are blown/toast and i thought 2 good front speakers would do me just fine

no idea about rms/watts to speakers so what ever is better is what i would like to go with

well your head unit is probably going to be around 15-20rms per speaker. this is going to be the bare minimum power you'll run on aftermarket stuff.

head unit power will probably be fine as long as their isn't a subwoofer involved.

so you can either run half head unit power or full head unit power. since you won't need very expensive speakers running that low power you'll be better off replacing all 4 to get the most out of the head unit.

are these high quality speakers? i dont mind spending some more money on some really high quality ones that are up to todays new technology, maybe better ones would need more power and meaning i could run just the 2 front or even run 4 if it really dont take much to run speakers

just wondering what my options are

higher quality won't matter until you get to the point of running more power. those things are built to handle 3 times more power than you're going to give them so you aren't going to hurt them.

for just everyday needs that setup will be more than enough for you.

without a subwoofer to compete with there isn't much reason to go with more power than this because you simply won't ever turn them up loud enough for it to matter.

and fucking overlooking infinity strikes again lol. forget those i keep forgetting they run 2 ohms not 4.

i really need to remember infinity and their 2 ohm shit.

a small lower powered sub might be worth doing if you are wanting some bass.

if you want to go more in depth with it we can but it can get kind of expensive once you involve amplifiers and real bass.

you could do a nice set of components in the front
dedicated midwoofers in the rear slots
low power sub under the seats

then probably 1-2 amplifiers depending on how the power situation works out.

if you could give me an idea of how much you are wanting to throw at it i could put together a list for you.

on the subwoofer i'd need to know how big a box i could get under the seat or behind the seat..whichever has the most room. so i'd need some measurements for whichever.

truck is pretty small so fitting a box would take up space that isnt there really if you know what u mean, i only got the small fold down seats in the back
If the speakers will spit out enough bass and nice sound i would be happy but, fitting one under the seat might be cool if you really can go that small, ill go up to 600-700$$ if you could gear up a system for that much that would fit and be solid

there isnt much room under the seat, i just went and checked
7 inches by 9 inches and 4 Inches for height
can give maybe 1-3 inches on the length (the 9inch to about 10-12)

or if it came to it which i dont want to do is seat a box on the fold down seat where i might have people sitting, (17x14 inches height wouldnt be a issue there

Edit:
the way its shaped if you did add the 1-3 inches on the Length the 4inch height would lower about .5 to 1 inch (total of 3 or 3.5 inches for height if went longer)
