I'm making a custom sealed sub enclosure using 2 JL 13tw5v2s

And simple question is do I need do divide the large enclosure into 2 sections or is 1 large section acceptable

Tried google, got mixed answers

you don't need to but it's better for safety sake. if one sub was to stop working because a wire came loose or the coil fried the other sub would be left with way too much air space and can overextend itself.

it also adds more bracing which is always nice.

also only put the amplifier on the box if there is no other choice. the box will be flexing constantly and it can damage the amp. if you must mount it on the box use some rubber puds where it touches to avoid the majority of it.
