Ok I have a stock 10inch getting 300 watts.

Then I have a ported 2x 12 alpine type r getting 500 wats to EACH one, Each having its own mono amp.


I need more pound. Yes its already loud but I want more.




Should I rip the 12,s out and go 1x 15? OR go with 4x 12,s?


I listen to dubstep. Not the fast dubstep. Its more 100% rms deepstep.

subwoofer size doesn't directly dictate spl levels. if you want to be louder you are going to need a balance of good ported box, good quality subwoofer, more rms watts.

that being said i'd need to know your alternators amperage output because if you really want to get louder your alternator is probably going to need to be upgraded.

and for the sake of knowing what amps are you using on the type rs?

My alternator puts out 140 amps.

I do not know about the other question. I just hooked it up from a guide.

you can get a bit more power in there without needing an alternator upgrade.

how much money you planning to spend?

They were Kenwook 500 watt amps I got from best buy last year. I got them to download me a wire diagram and it took me about 2 hours to install.


2-3k on this system.

Also I have a kenwood 1000rms mono amp just sitting in my closet. You see like you do this for a living^^

I would upgrade your amps.. what wiring do u have? how do you have you subs wired? how many cubic feet is your box? what size port do you have?

with your budget a new alternator is definitely something to do. going to have to do some looking around to see who offers these lol.

if you want it to be like loud loud you are going to need to upgrade mids/highs as well otherwise you seriously wont hear anything but bass lol.

can you get some measurements of the spot you want to put the box? need to get an idea of how much air space there is to work with.

forget about that amp. with your budget you can get a very nice amp with lots of power from a much much better company.

or you can just wire your subs down to 1 ohm and buy a better amp thats one ohm stable. I assume you have each sub running 2 ohms to each amp.. and keenwood amps arent all that great so ur prolly getting more like 300 watts 2 each sub not counting box rise
