part/repair cost is higher for euro models in the states so if you are buying an econobox then cheap repairs should be important.

pretty sure volvo is a worldwide brand + volvos dont break and they dont cost 20000 alot less

volvo is but their parts have import fees added on them which makes the cost higher. plus shops usually end up charging more because they are less familiar with them so it takes them more time to get repairs done.

and everything breaks are some point. only takes being too lazy to do something like check the oil or coolant levels for a while to fuck up an engine.
