bought a used truck from an old man ..

he has jl audio speakers all around.. and 2 jl 10s in the back (however one is blown) there is a single 400 watt amp for everything under my passenger seat. . that im told is "bridged" my deck is garbage

i have a friend that is good at installation and such but i dont want to continually bother him with questions since he will already be going out of his way to install everything for me...

first and foremost i want a good deck.. the one i have can barely read cd's .. (guy went out of his way for a decent stereo.. but a garbage deck)

i do need to fix the blown sub.. im not sure if its better to get 2 that match.. or buy a new one ...

and ive been told i should get an amb for my subs and keep the current amp for my door speakers... any help is appreciated

need a couple model numbers for the sub and amp.

the head unit should be $140-ish for all your needs so you have lots of budget leftover for replacing your current sub setup.

if you want to just replace them then i'd need to know how much space you have for sub box(es). if you are folding up the rear seat this should be fairly simple but if you are putting them under the seat then i'm going to need fairly exact measurements.

where does one find the model number on the subs them selves? i plan to fold down the seat so my girlfriends daughter can get back there from time to time.. there are 2 - 10s that fit under my seat. i just know they are jl audio 10 subs.

you can look through this if you don't feel like pulling one out. each model will also have old models to look through. the cheaper ones are going to be the most likely candidates.

is the current box pretty much the right size? give me the length height and depth measurements of it if it is.
