okay i've tried to fix the problem not sure whats wrong really my 2001 z24 chevy cavalier engine like came on yesterday when I floored in idk why it would come on but any ideas?

code scan it at an autopart store.

Misfire most likely but deff go to your local auto parts store & have them scan it.
Should be free or 10$ Charge.

if your always flooring that gas pedal, could be your thermostat also. tends to happen a lot to lead foots. ive had a impalla ss, ford taurus SHO, mustang gt, and now a charger with a hemi. and im a lead foot and ive put at least 2-3 thermos in each car. cars aint what they used to be thats for sure!
