Does the car have a factory Monsoon system? Are you trying to use the factory head unit?
If you're trying to make a factory head unit read the song info off a CD or iPod, I don't think such a thing exists..

She was told it would cost $150 for this special wire.
With out this wire for her after market she was told it could damage her car computer. Now im not sure if these people are out to rob her or what. She said to change her radio shewould have to rip off her dash board and really a pprocess to change. It's her system from her last car. If I get this problem solved for her I get some mad brownie points

Ohhhhh I know what you're talking about.

First off, the G6 could possibly be one of the easiest cars to take the radio out of. The dash pops right off with a plastic pry bar and then it's just a few 7mm screws holding everything on.

The G6 has a digital display that reads the oil pressure, miles left till change, mileage ect.ect. that's built into the factory radio.
If you don't buy this special dash kit then you will lose all of those feature when you install an aftermarket radio.
