i have a '92 honda civic

the front left speaker stopped working a few months ago

i've tried:

replacing the speaker (twice)
replacing the CD player unit + head unit + the wire harness to connect the player

have tried taking the door off to check the wire coming from the speaker, but the interior door panel doesn't come off more than an inch from the door itself

is there something i could be leaving out? should i test the wires that connect to the speaker?

i'll give some fg to anybody who helps me fix this!

the door panel should come off completely....if its not coming off you are missing something.

the first thing you should of done when this happened was to test the wires themselves.

it is 20 year old cheap wiring.

This.

I'm confident that the same thing has happened in my car. I've replaced all 4 inside speakers (needed upgrade anyway) but still wont work. Wiring is next, which I'm sure will fix it.

But the door panel should come off completely. Just use your finger/screwdriver to pop off all the surroundings all the way around, and their may be screws holding it in also [near the door handle, window controls etc]
