Okay, so I have a mini shelf system.
The deck (iPod dock, cd changer, controls etc), a sub, and a left n right speaker. I just recently moved, settled in now.
Got it all hooked up, sub works. Here's the issue:

One of the wires was connected to another copper wire with electrical tape. It's plugged into the right speaker part, sub barely works. I can feel a tiny bit of bass, but no real sound or anything.
Switched that cord to the left side, left speaker stops working and the right one goes fine.

Question: is it the cord, or the port I plug the wire into broken? new to this stuff, if there's anything unclear or if I forgot to mention anything just ask and I'll try my best. Iso help :(

Got it fixed. One of the cords had a split at the end, so when it was in the port, it wasn't entire in. Just had to chop the end off and it worked fine.
