I have a CDA-9813 which is a old head unit however i like some of the features on it such as the bass engine and the MX button. and the clarity of the bass is much better then my newer pioneer HU. the only thing that is disappointing me is the fact that this head unit doesn't have ipod/iphone connectivity... so my question is if i wanted to buy a head unit what would i buy? all i want is the same head unit just with ipod/iphone any suggestions? oh, before we jump to conclusions i have plugged a ipod cable up to this head unit can my phone says it wont support it, so i know for definite that it wont work.

E; my budget is around $400 plus postage to Australia.

E2; I'm also looking for an amp in the future to power my Pioneer TS-A1604C and was wondering if this amp was a clean one?

another cheap amp option but if you are more comfortable with mainstream brands that alpine one is not a bad choice for a cheap amp.

as for head unit options
