My radio shorts out when ever I press a button on it I'm not sure if it's the face plate or the deck/head unit. Then it takes its sweet ass time to come back. The music off the radio could come in clearer if you ask me but I'm not sure what I'm doing or what I should look at or what

Won't hurt to check the wiring, just to make sure no loose/damaged connections.

Make sure the wires are secure, what kind of head unit do you have and how old? I personally sautered the wires onto my head unit instead of the connector buts so i wouldn't have this problem.

more than likely its a situation that requires replacement rather than repair.

you can take it all apart and see if its something obvious but more than likely its something internal.

I'd rather just replace. it's too frustrating repairing.
