Hey jsp

2008 Mazda 3, still has stock brakes/rotors sitting @ 73,000 miles

Should I change? No sound issues, but I figured why not? Should last til 150,000+

Anyone know how long stock will last? I drive 50/50 intertstate/city

Also when my 2x 12 '' subs hit, my headlights dim, it looks like a damn strobe party... How can I fix this? Capacitor?

Have you alternator tested. How old is your battery?

This.

There is no reason that your lights should be dimming on such a newer car.
I have 2 12s pushing around 600RMS in a 2001 and no dimming/light problems.
A capacitor is just a "bandaid" fix. If you are having major issues, you may need a new battery/alternator upgrade.

2 12s give us no information. would need to know how many rms watts the amp is putting out and your alternators amperage output before addressing that problem.

New battery and alternator is fine both produce 12-14 volts.

400RMS amp w/ 2x 150RMS subs

Amp was 200$ and subs were 100$ Each

400$ for yes 300RMS, but they are high quality and produce great sound.

Fuse is in tact, I wired with very high quality 100$ kit and my power runs down one side of the car and remote switch/audio wire down the other side.

ANy info on brakes/rotors?

Just changed sparkplugs/oil/filter/cabin air filter/engine air filter today

napa blank rotors
pads themselves are just how much you feel like spending. don't go ceramic though unless you want it to squeal a lot because they are mad for real stopping power not being easy on.

and if its really only 300rms there is no reason you should have dimming unless you have a 50 amp or less alternator.

Cool thanks kind Sir!

I am taking it to mazda due to a weird tick, I think its something below the heads because the sound gets louder when I remove the oil cap. I will ask them why too.

Also, I am replacing with new ceramic pads but higher priced ones. I plan to grease the back of each pad to prevent squeeks.
