My g/f just got a 2010 jetta, and shes wanting tint and a system, so right now is perfect time to get her a system first off..
here are choices i can go with. help me pick, ill tell you which im leaning towards

1. Should i give her my Memphis C3 10" Dual 2 ohm with my Rockford fosgate 500 punch then buy me a Sa 12' and new amp

or

2. Give her the C3 with a new amp (not as good as my punch but enough to push the speaker at 1 ohm), then get me Sa 12 and power it with my punch

or

3. Keep my setup and buy her the Sa 12 with alright amp ( cant have her overpowering my system, mine has to stay #1)

Im leaning towards 1 or 2, lmk and will need ideas on a amp/box and tell me more about the Sa 12

couple good budget amps

or

give her your current setup and grab an sa-12 and one of those amps if you want a good cheap upgrade.

if that onyx1.1000 is in your budget range you could try a couple new type s 12s instead of a single sa-12. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45529_Alpine-SWS-12D4.html

Give her your setup, Get this for yourself:

The reason I say that amplifier is because it will do 600watts @ 4ohms which is 1 subwoofer, but if you want to upgrade from 1 4ohm DVC sa-12 to 2 sa-12 4Ohm u will get 1200w rms.
Those subs are rated @ 600w rms each but can obviously handle much more.

Good luck to you

Well I would want to push that sub at 1 ohm, I'm only in need of 1
I need my trunk space or at least half
I'm on trip so will look more into it

Budget isn't a problem.

subs don't care which ohm load you are at only the amp does. it will perform the same at 600rms no matter if its 1 2 4 8 or any other ohm load.

grab a dual 4 ohm sa-12 and use that onx1.1000 amp and give it 750 watts.
