i wanna turn my fuse running to the amp and sub that my bass knob is attached to, and make it a split so i have the bass knob, and a fog light switch installed off the same line from the battery

Apparently the 09 altima doesnt officially have an aftermarket legit setup for fog light assemblys and wiringkit with switch kit.

i think this might work but i might have to custom fit it, or grind some mounts off and what not, as far as the switch goes i was told wiring through to the ignition would short the system, however wiring straight to the battery is preferred and safer.

but could i wire it to the switch kit and wire that to a split and run both switches ( one for the fog lights, one for the bass knob for my audio system ) and have em work good from the battery itself, massive fuse box for the system is already installed.

Bass knob? Like the remote gain adjustment for your sub amps? That shouldn't be carrying any power. I'm confused here...

I would wire the lighting separately. And use a relay.

i need to run a new line from the battery, or i can i run it from the line running to the amp?

I would run another wire along side the amp power wire. Tapping into the amp wire would be messy. I would assume it would terminate in the trunk where you amp probably is. You don't want to tap into it anywhere else.

Most of the wiring for the fog lights can be kept under the hood in the engine-bay.

You would only need to run 3 wires into the cabin for a 3 way switch. These could all be 14-16ga.

You'll need a relay, 3 pole switch, bunch of 16ga wire, 20 amp fuse (or whatever is recommended for the lights), 3 amp fuse and proper terminal ends.

I did the same thing for some big off road lights I put on my Jeep. Should be more or less the same for fog lights.
