Have 2003 malibu using the 70-2003 harness
How can I tell where to tap if I don't have a multimeter?

I have it running to the orange on the cars harness but its making my lights stay on with the car off

what are you talking about ?

if youre talkinga bout cd player run it to a wire/fuse that is hot with the key on but cold with key out, though if you have the proper wiring harnesses this issue wouldn't exist.

if youre asking about amp remote wire ive always run it to cd player fuse worked fine.

use a test light

or find a manual for your cars fuses.



he's talking about running a fuse from his head unit to the cars fuse box instead of to the wiring harness since his 12v switch is a 12v constant for some reason.

Yeah the 70-2003 metra harness says to tap a fuse so that it will power on with key in acc position. Which it doesn't right now since I didn't know where to plug it in of how to find which one. Some post on another forum said to just throw it on the orange in the mean time.

you can get a test light for under $5 usually. just get under there and stick it in one that goes on and off with the key turn.

you need to get a GM data Mod for it
