Hey guys, I have no idea where to start on looking for/buying an aftermarket system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.



I own a 2002 lexus es 300 w/ mark levison audio, no navigation.

I would just like my audio to sound clean, and crisp. I need to be able to play music through my android device. (Galaxy s3)

Would like to spend maybe 400$ on it.

NN for a sub and shit, maybe just some speakers, an amp, and a nice receiver.

Figure out the sizes of your door speakers and the speakers in your rear deck.

Midrange speakers I always recomend the earthquake sealed backs, they can go right in your doors, regular mids should be in pods and its a hassle tbh... seal backs 100%

Hifonics makes some decent amplifiers for pretty cheap, you are going to want a 4channel amp at any rate, when you are ready to buy pm me and i will point you in the right direction

rear deck speakers really really really really SUCK!!!!

they are usually 6x9s or 4x10s and produce absolutely no bass... not worth the time in my opinion, in my 1986 montecarlo I have built a fiberglass panel and put in 6x Earthquake compression drivers (250 series).

pioneer is a great company for head units. hard to choose between them and kenwood for the number 1 slot lol.

as for the other guys suggesstions..you can definitely go for 6.5 midbass drivers if you want. however for your budget that stuff will be perfectly fine as is.

Rethink the sub..even if it is low power. That way you can run the high pass on the door and lid speakers so that you can get more out of em. just my opinion
