Someone tried to rob me for my system and luckily I avoided the situation but fear that there will be attempts made again in future =/

So Anyways...


I'm trying to build a system that is "Theft Proof" to prevent future attacks on my vehicle

I'm trying to make it more time consuming of a process to remove the system to give the security system a chance to be usefull





Plan for Subwoofer and Box
- Place Bolts Through the box and Frame to secure it to the floor and FiberGlass over the inside anyways
- Cover the skrews of subwoofer with a grill that is secured in place

- Build an "Amp Rack" that is also secured to the floor or adjacent frame and box


*Basically the idea is to make it to where they would have to break the wooden boxes to remove the system

How to make a Double-Din Radio "Theft Proof" and immovable without the use of tools to remove the radio?



I know this seems like a stupid question but if anyone has experiance in this area lmk how I can keep my radio from getting stolen with plans of people trying to attack my system

the only way i'd figure on the double din is if you make a custom mounting bracket inside the dash and attached it to something sturdy under the dash.

for the subs/amp make sure its mounted to metal and maybe try use less common screws like hex/torx/fluted/tri-wing heads. most of the time thieves aren't going to have anything but basic screwdrivers.

i dont run anything at the moment is the funny part. my current plan is to find a vehicle platform i really love to build on.

Yeah the different screw heads is almost a must. I myself use hex, square, and phillips. If i am doing something permanant i drill out phillips so the heads are concave.
Another thing i did with my alarm is used the accessory button and hooked up actuators in the doors and trunk. The alarm will toggle these actuators to slide a rod down into the door frame like a deadbolt.
Not much you can do about windows though.

My HU is pretty much a bitch to get out, you have to take out almost the complete dash, including the hvac controls before you can get to the bolts holding it in, and most people that look at my setup cant even find my amps
