I Just got a DC Audio XL 18" Subwoofer

Going to be placed in the Trunk of a Mazda Protege-5 Hatchback

1 3/4" MDF Construction Wooden Box

Not sure of the dimensions of the size yet that can fit in vehicle clean but I have somewhere around

38"wide x 22"hieght x 24"deep

That's not 100" accurate but its close ... I got about 9 cubic feet in the trunk to work with

Need help designing a port and getting designs on box

I can get accurate final dimensions if anyone can assist me ...

Suggested Ported Box size is 6 Cubic Feet...

What should the box be tuned too? Let me know please thanks

And also suggestions on Fiberglass over the wooden box?

Sub facing Up - Port Back
6" Ported Box
Tuned @ 34 Hertz

And Suggested Birch over MDF ...

Sounds good to me so far =]

How to build the Port? I can make a 6" cubic box no problem

Help on designing port?
