Car Battery/internal Computer System Problem? - Topic

Never dealt with this before,

(Gf's 91 corolla)
Car battery Holds charge (13v)
When on car holds charge (14.5v = alternator working fine)
Car only starts with it hooked up to another car (like its being jump, it doesn't need to recharge battery, the car just won't start of its battery)
Then i noticed my car (had 14.5v when i started jump and then went down to 14v when we started her car
(That means her car is being started off my car)
No problems with stater because at hook up there was no problem

Any suggestions?

we were thinking disconnecting the battery and possibly waiting a few hours for the computer to restart

First thing I always do with problems like that is check the fuses and check the battery connections. Not the ones on the terminals, but where the big cables are running (chassis, starter etc).
I had a problem like that once and the ground cable was loose.
