Hello everyone.
I've got a new amplifer, but when i put + and - to it, and measure it, i dont get any voltage at all. But if i measure the wires themself i get 14~ish. (the amp is not connected to the headunit yet)
Does that mean the amplifer doesnt work?

head unit turns it on otherwise you would be constantly powering your subs when the car is off.

Great, just gotta wait for that cable to arrive, so i can put in the new headunit. (Got standard in right now, thats why it's not connected)

Yes thus its called a remote turn on
being that the other power wire should be constant unless your doing the retro late 90's toggle switch.

agree to disagree, just because the signal passes through the head unit does not mean the head unit is giving the power off. the power comes from other sources in just the same exact way. so its not necessarily the head unit. which is why i said yes and no.

no remote wire = no power to amp
