Anyone have experience in mounting 6.5in speakers in the front of a 1997 grand am 4dr? If so, what did you find to be the best way to do it?

They are in the door, right?
Probably will be two big screws holding the big handle on, one screw under the little handle. Maybe another up by where the mirror is.
Check for screws along the bottom edge, if none then the door panel will just pull right off!

the door panel is no problem lol
its the fact that i need an extra inch of mounting depth and custom brackets

throw whatever size spacers you need on the sumbitch and you're good had to do this in my Jeep and cut my own spacers worked well.

Jigsaw and some plywood or MDF?
Or like dude said you can probably order mounting spaces online.
