Hi, I purchased a 2010 Lancer ES from a Mitsubishi dealership last year in May.

I didn't like the Navigation/Sound package they offered me, so they were going to
send me to a business that could do my custom needs.

They fed me a story saying that the computer in my car would need to be
tuned or some crap in order for a custom system to work and that I would
have to go to this specific business that they offered.

Well, I went to that business and I was just trying to get a basic system
to replace Mids/Highs, custom box in the trunk, new dash setup..
but they were charging me a little under 4,000.

So, are dealerships bad news and good liars?

rockford fosgate is so overpriced . . i used to compete with car sound . had 1 system from rockford that costed about 8 thousand euro´s . and i had another set with some cheaper brands like MDS /brl (its a brand here in sweden) that played better then rockford . and with lesser cost i started competing with it . rockford is overpriced garbage imo. . . and aswell just because u install new sound u WONT be needing to tune the cars computers thats just a lie to earn more money
