Dipstick plastic cap thin broke off, and now the metal reader thin ( that goes into the motor ) is slipping down into the bottom end
Can't reach it anymore, can't seem to pull the tube out,

Tempted to break the fuckin thing off, and just plug it

If u know anything about vehicles and ever checked ur oil be4 u know what I'm talking about

it has a curve to it so you can't pull it straight out. you'll need to reach as far down the tube as you can and figure out which direction it needs to move to come out.

LOLOL, my whole dipstick got stuck i mean STUCK in the dipstick housing, i had to heat it up with a torch and drill a screw into the plastic part to pull out

In your case i would buy a small neodemyum magnet and attach it on the end of a hangar wire or something and go fishing

lol wow now i feel dumb. i thought he meant the entire tube was slipping in and not just the dip stick.

i'd probably just remove the dip stick tube to get to the dip stick at this point. generally they pull right out but you might make sure on your model.

I did this once.
My dad showed me a trick
get a stiff piece of wire and make a corkscrew with it dont push it in just keep twisting and when it starts to be to to put in yank that mofo out.

Oh they make small nose hemostat clamps thet may fit. there expensive tho but a very handy tool if you know what i mean

i ran into this issue with my show truck, accidentally snapped the entire top off of the dipstick while cleaning it up.. my suggestion is to go to an auto graveyard, and buy a used dipstick housing and dipstick.... dis-mount the existing broken one( while doing an oil change at the same time)...


pull off the old one, and replace with the new used one while the oil is obviously out of the car/truck, make sure you get some gasket sealer/cleaner for where it connects to the block..

once the exchange is done, and new oil filter in place... should work like a charm...




... this should only take about 1-3 hours even for someone who doesnt know what their doing in a driveway..
