So I have a 3.5l v6 2008 nissan Altima coupe I'm trying to upgrade
My budget is around 1400$
I would like to make my music sound good. And have a better bass for my music. Also I bought dynomate is this worth doing for my car?
I would like to have some trunk space without completely using it all
I generally listen to rap. Ex Mac miller Sam adams. But I do listen to rock also acdc others. Can anyone give me some advice for what I should get? I'm building my own box with Mdt wood

what size alternator?
dynamat is a yes and a no. its worth doing in a general sense but you would basically have to pull the entire interior out of your 2008 car to do it completely.
some people opt to just do it in their trunk instead of going through all that which is fine but pretty debatable if its even worth doing just the trunk area.
what are you wanting from your head unit? gps navigation jumps the price up pretty good so its helpful to know what you want feature wise.
do you have any experience building boxes? subwoofers can't just go in any ol box so you need to know what you are doing if you want to build it yourself.

I say dynamat isn't worth it in a 2008 car, lots of work to do it and it's not a guaranteed increase in loudness, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It's best just for sound quality if you don't want your doors rattling etc.
So I'd probably only recommend it if it were an older car but an 08' should be alright.
And building a box is simple enough for most people, designing it is the main concern though, take your time reading up online on what works best for your car, listening habits and the subwoofer you're going to put in it.

I would go with a single 12" for sure,
What the next step should be in your build is power. Because if you want a nice 500-600 rms sub and some decent mids you will want to get a little better alternator.
This is probably the worst mistake most people make. Don't break it and then fix it. Be nice to your electrical and you will save money in the end.
And yes dynamat works just find your rattles before hand.

<rear deck (i hate 6x9's but these have great imaging, normally i would just put a conversion plate in for 6"s) $80

< wiring kit $50
after all this i would think you would have enough for a high output alternator and a yellow top optima battery would be ideal. 350$ should get both
1400 should cover it with a little to spare for tools connectors ect.

Your going to want to add deadner regardless but $200 focal mids are a waste can get better components for a fraction of the price

if you are thinking crescendos they wont fit in the doors. to deep and the rms is too much
I was doin one stop shop type of deal.
2 x ft1's and 2 x 6'' crescendos would be ideal but still need a bigger amp
