What should be the proper ammount of amps for 4 10inch subs? I was thinking two 1000 watt amps. Looking for your thoughts though.

need to know what model subs before i can say anything about wattage.

other than that you'll probably want two amps so you can run them both@1ohm on 2 subs each. assuming of course they are dual 4 ohm voice coil subs.
