I am looking to spend $1,000 - $1,250 TOPS on a complete system. (Subs, box, head unit, wires, amp, 4 door speakers)

I want stupid bass with speakers that can keep up with it.

Headunit - I like kenwood but I need a double-din (NON TOUCH SCREEN) with 6 channel RCA 3 sets of them not 4 channels only 6

speakers - i want 4 door speakers (no tweeters) that will only push mids no bass. i plan on already having stupid bass. so i need suggestions for speakers
Front 5x7" @ 2.75"
* Can use 6x8"s
* Can also use 5.25"s or 6.5"s with additional work
Rear 6" @ 4.25", 6" speakers fit the best and 6 1/2" can fit by cutting the rain guard

Amp - I need an amp that will be able to power my subs, probably 2000-3000 watt

wires - 0 gauge

box - ported

SUBS _ THIS IS WHERE I NEED THE MOST HELP
i have been thinking about getting 2x orion hcca 12's but dont know to go 2ohm or 4ohm
i have also heard that FI BTL's are better than orion but only by some people
also a box to go along with these

any suggestions?

/e oh yeah i have a 2003 mazda protege5 hatch

hcca subs are overpriced for what you get. fi btls are better but with your budget i wouldn't recommend it

1 fi btl+2500rms amp+box+wiring kit=already over budget.

you need tweeters. tweeters=high, midwoofer=middle, subwoofer=low. you need all 3.

double dins with screens=going to be touchscreen. a double din without a screen(the only ones that won't be touchscreen) cost extra for no reason. if you don't want touchscreen then get a single din because you get more for the money.

you're going to need to get me alternator information for your car as well. chances are you won't be able to handle more than 1200rms watts on your stock electrical system.

you're also probably going to need to go with 6.5 inch speakers in both doors. 6inch has some options but your front door sizes are junk without going with 6.5s.

you will also probably have to amp your door speakers.

ok so how about this

single-din kenwood with 6 channel 3way rcas
still want 2x 12 subs with ported box
need an amp for just subs
4 door speakers + 2 tweeters
amp for speakers

not sure about the alternator because im on the mazdas247 forums and they say that it will cause electrical fires...LOL
so maybe a system that my stock alternator can handle?

but can you help me on some affordable BOOMING bass?

on your alternator it will say its amperage on the label. if you get me that info i can work out how many watts you can handle.
