My friend is looking to get a system, he drives 2012 chevy silverado. he wants 12" subs and idk if all 12" would fit so this is what i picked out for him. tweak anything i listed down. also he needs a pretty sick touch screen headunit. i've told him that theres other good brands out there besides JL and Kicker (our other friend telling him all this when his system sounds shit)
Subs are Sundown, i told him i've started hearing/reading about and they sound good

Amp im not to sure, i told him a Hifonics brutus around 1200 or so but i was reading about em and some people saying they dont push as hard, correct me if im wrong

He also would need wiring and a box, are the sites for pre made boxes or they will make you one? im wanting him to get more quality then loudness, i even told him 2 10's would be good. so anything would help me to help him

i wouldn't go with hifonics unless i got a good deal or something. mb quart=same parent company but higher quality.
you will need to look for boxes specifically for that truck and see how much mounting depth they have before looking into subs. chances are you won't be able to fit sundown SA series into that truck.

is a better choice.

i do like that amp, are you talking about any of the SA series or just the 12", i think 2 10's would do just as good, im not sure on which though

the problem is their mounting depth and required box space.
generally truck boxes=shallow/small/sealed. if he has an extended cab or quad cab and wants to remove the back seats then he has more options.

oh yes, i was ify on 12's because of any of the mounting depths, i'll get back when he finally looks at boxes

ok i found a box and some subs, let me know if these sound good.... box is normally going to have like 6.5 mount depth so i found some other sundown speakers for those specs
Box:

Speakers

buy them from here

while they would mount in that box it would be a complete waste. its simply too small to let the subwoofer work correctly.
something more like
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45531_Alpine-SWS-10D4.html
would work out better. sundown subs generally need large ported boxes and thats just not realistic for an under the seat box.
oh and make sure you buy dual 4 ohm subs so it wires down to 1 ohm final impedance.

ya i forgot to add the specs on box its less the 1 cubic and those need 1 cubic or more. ok i was wondering if i needed 2 or 4 ohm, i just have one speaker so idk about doubles, so he is wanting it to be a deep bass so thats why he is leaning towards 12" subs, i will let him look at that, was wanting something peaking at like 600-700 watt for that amp you listed above

if hes getting two subs then that amp works fine for the sub i linked. they should handle 600rms easily.
a sealed box under 1 cubic foot will never sound deep.

the 12 inch version.
