I'm not biggest know it all on systems but i have been reading a little about it all. Just need someone to tell me more about frequency it should be on possibly and so fourth. Right now i need to sound deaden my trunk.. i also have all new door speakers, back speakers, their powerbass brand, is it possible to get a low amp and run them off that?

gain=set to whatever your head unit pre-amp voltage is.

frequency cutoff=40hz or under

no bass boost

yes you can amp your door speakers with a 4 channel amplifier. just match the rms ratings like you did with the sub/amp stuff.

ok, i'll have to look up my head unit pre-amp voltage.

frequency i messed around with, i think its right above 40hz, is it better the lower or what? i was hearing it get louder the lower i went and quieter higher the hz was, maybe explain this to me a little more

theres my head unit, under specs it says operating voltage at 14.4v or 11v-16v. would i set my gain to around that?

set the gain to 2 volts. pre-amp voltage is different than power voltage.

depending on the music you listen to you will probably want to set it higher. 40hz is more for rap/hiphop but if you listen to other stuff then feel free to go up to around 80hz.

basically you are limiting your playback frequencies to fit your needs. most rap/hiphop will not have any real bass lines over 40hz but dubstep and stuff will so if you put it on 40hz with a song mixed with lots of bass in the 50-80 range you will miss out on them. this is why some songs will seem quieter the lower its set.

if you listen to lots of genres you might want to set it over 40hz to get full effect.
