I have a Memphis C3 10" Dual voice 2 ohm speaker, i was running rockford fosgate prime 500 mono and which doesnt support 1 ohm that well, i had to run speaker 4 ohm which was getting 300 watt, so i ordered same brand but punch series 500 mono amp which supports 1 ohm, so the question is how should i wire the speaker, parallel or what else? its in a trunk with ported box.

the amp will come with a diagram showing you how to wire each coil to 1/2 ohm

ok, i've been reading in all kinds of forums, increasing my knowledge of car audio. Everywhere i been reading, people rather go with other brands that personally never heard of, which would push my speaker better at 1 ohm? i feel like i might of not looked or checked to much into amps before i made my final decision. im thinking about just sending it back in and getting different one if people can persuade me. help me find a good amp for my speaker, will list specs, thanks

Links of amp i ordered and my sub

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_20576_Rockford_Fosgate_P500-1bd.aspx Amp i have coming
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/subwoofers/c3-cast-subwoofers/ I have the 15-C310D2 Sub

I just looking for a good amp that supports 1 ohm and i would like to get close to maxin sub out at 800, but anything will be better then the 300 watt i was pushin it at with old amp, the new one will push 500, more the better
Sub is in a car box with port, dont know all specs of the box though

Im sure others will chime in but I think that Fosgate 500W Amp should bang that thing pretty good. Unless that sub is way underrated you dont wanna push too much over its rated for RMS wise.
