My girlfriends 06 malibu was having egr issues and i let it sit for awhile untill i had the money to put a new valve in it. I jumped it about 3 days ago and it was running fine untill i pulled it back into the driveway shut it off and went to turn it on again and nothing. I then barrowed a battery charger from a relative and it would make wierd clicking sounds like it wasnt able to charge the battery. the fluid levels are all fine in the battery. Really not to sure whats going on unless the battery charger was to old to work on such a newer car.

p.s. should i try jumping it again and let it run for about an hour so the alternator charges it?

if you let a normal battery sit for a long time, and completely die.. it ruins the battery whether its new or not. If it was a deep cell battery, those are made to be completely drained then charged back up.
