My brand new Sundown SA-12's! I can't wait to bump these bad boys. Considering I've literately only have ever bumped 2 Sony xplods, a damaged T1 15, and a damaged T2 12... I'm beyond excited to finally have something new and working correctly. I'm throwing them in my brothers sealed box for now, then on Tuesday a pre-fab box will be coming and that will have to do until I have enough time to build my own box.

Taken from Iphone 3gs so photos aren't the greatest.

if the box isn't to specs for the subs don't bother because your subs will sound terrible compared to what they will sound like in a proper box.

I'd rather it sound horrible for a few weeks to a month until I can build the box then listen to two Sony Xplods.

the prefab you have coming will be fine but don't bother mounting them in the sealed box you have already. wait until you get the prefab in before using them.

Why is that? The box will be coming next Tuesday :( but at least it has around 2.1 cubic feet per sub so that's a little about recommended so it should suffice or now.

that is way too much air space. ported box specs=/=sealed box specs. sa-12s sealed enclosures are more like 1.2 cubic feet per sub from what i remember.

For ported? I'm looking at the sheet the came with the subs right now and it says 2.0 for ported.

i thought you said the sealed box was 2.1 per sub my mistake. unless the sealed box is around 1 to 1.2 cubic feet a chamber don't install them in it because its not worth the effort.

The box is pretty small, dunno the expect specs. They do sound loud and pretty good. I just can't wait for ported.
