im building a new box for 2x 10" rf p2's

old models with 250 w http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8755_Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P2D410-09P2D410.html

any know where i can find trunk lenghts for vw golf 3 ? im not able to look myself on the car before tomorrow

atm i got a ported box, it hit rly deep and nice on the lows but its not allways sounding awesome on the higher fast ones when i listen to techno, and im mostly listening to techno so it should be the other way around, 70 % techno 30 % rap

atm they are getting 450w from my earthquake amp @ 4 ohm, would it be overkill to wire em at 1 ohm @ 1000w and be gentle on the gain ? if im getting a sealed box wich is = more watt and im allrdy running em 50w low, woulndt i loose some ? allso considering the amp is lower quality than rf

These ones right with the chunky magnets? I just got done doing a buddies truck with these in it. I have owned them previously and they are a little pains in the asses. I had 2 bad voice coils in a row on these. But after i got some that were not faulty i had even more trouble. Rockford posts one 29(fz) crutchfield posts another 30.5(fz) and sonic has even a 3rd 30.8(fZ) after i used an adjustable port i made for tuning prefab bpxes (just a bunch of male/female threaded pvc that u can keep adding to like legos )
I found what i thought was a good mix of sq and spl at 32.4 hz Ive used prefab sealed and ported on these and ehh yah just another sub. I build a lot of 1/4 wave and 4th and 6th order but i wasnt gonna take the time and build a super intense box for 50$ subs
So i went to lowes and did what i used to do in high school and bought 2 x 10" sonotube forms and some poly fill and gorilla glue 20 minutes later i was done and it was actually really badass. Just dont be a dumbass like most people and glue the sub in, Its easier to use wood glue and roll a rim on the edge using brown painting paper.
As far as the trunk thing goes i cant help you there.
Sorry for the rant but i honestly just did this install last night.
Sonotube is cheap and effective. Lmk if you need help on the lengths.
If you wanna get really crafty go to walmart and get some spray adhesive and some carpet(cheaper to look in the craft area with the fabrics and find colored matting that matches instead of buying the expensive oem matting for triple the price.)
Dont try and put legs on them either strap them against something.

yep its those, i had these for over 3 years now and never had any problems other than they dident play loud/clean enough, im sure these arent good in a truck, but in my small 3d car it can get loud and pretty much spl considered its 250w

i have been planning for some time to get new subs, but the bills keeps killing me every damn month

so for now im just going to get some experience with this, i never made a box be4 so it could be fun to learn, and hopefully a little improvement, then when i buy my new subs i will hopefully have an good idea on how to build a box for those instead of buying some shit prefab like i had this time

ty for the advice so far :)

/e btw, im from denmark, dont have bestbuy or any of those shops here

measure your trunk between the hinges & the height from the trunk entrance, then measure the depth from the seat back and decide if you want any trunk space.
I can give you a cut sheet for a sick box if you have the time to build one. Im pretty good with 1/4 waves and could walk you through one. I build 2-3 a week so i know some pretty good tricks :)

sounds awesome m8, will measure later today

its only gonna be a temp box untill i buy new subs, so it doesnt need to be a super expensive time consuming one, allso its my first box so not anything too complicated ^^

i dont care much about trunk space

so far my 2 amps have been on the back of the box in some messy install, this time i want wires and amps to be mounted properly somehow, im not sure they can take much longer getting banged around like now when their mounted on the box, some of the buttons on 1 of em is starting to rattle loose

allso, inside of trunk is a bit larger than the trunk opening, but i can lay down the seats and take it in from my front door, so should i measure full trunk and door intrance or just use trunk intrance ? this could be a good thief protection too, so they cant just pull it out of the trunk... u can open my shit trunk lock with a screwdriver in 10 sec

ah its simple man i just give you a series of measurements to cut from and then i assign each cut a color and give you a pick with each board color coded.
I Wouldalmost see what subs you would like to get and just do one build. howl ong before you upgrade?

atm its like this besides that the 6x9 t1's is changed out with p1 comp set

when i get new subs i got told best i could do is making a box like this just side firing instead of top, and then mount the speakers on box too

im not sure what i would get yet. its tricky cause i live in denmark so i got limited shops i can buy from since shipping over here can easily be 100-500 $ alone, our shops in denmark got many quality things but they cost insane much cause most made out of denmark, im searching for 2x 10"'s with 500 rms each @ 1 ohm so i can use my current amp untill it dies

i need to find a place that ships to denmark and doesnt overprice insanely, when i know how much i need ill work something out
