Lets take a look at that speaker ->
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item%5F13963%5FInfinity-Kappa-62.9I.htmlIts rated 75Watts.
Right here, I got a Guitar tube amp.
Rated at 15Watts. Its powering a 12" Speaker. It can make you ears bleed in a 10'x10' Room
Besides it, theres a 100Watt amp powering 4x 12" Speakers.
In my other room, I got a 100Watt JVC Amp I think. Worth 1000$. Plugged on 2x 15". I cannot go past 4 on the dial.
Let say I plug that 75Watt speaker on my 15Watt Amp and Crank it up, what's going to happen you think ? I don't understand how wattage is rated. These are all RMS Values.
I dont understand your post, are you talking about subwoofers or speakers? You posted a link to a speaker yet you are talking about like four 12s and two 15s. Are you comparing high frequencies to low frequencies? Your ears are much more sensitive to higher frequencies which is why it doesn't take near as much power to push a subwoofer than it does to push a speaker. 150 db at say 8000hz is much different than 150 db at 35 hz.
Either way, just look at the RMS of what you want to power and find an amp that does that RMS power and you'll be good to go.
