looking to get some subs for my car, dont want to spend tons of money on it, but still want some good sounding subs.

1: What is the Year, Make, and Model of the vehicle. Honda Prelude, 2001
2: What is your budget? 500?
3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?) balance of both
4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others? unsure have heard mixed opinions (you guys lmk preferances)
5: How much trunk space do you want to use up? doesnt matter
6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc) Aux mostly
7: What type of music do you listen to? techno/rap mostly but little enjoy almost anyhting
8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this) unsure on this
9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel) no!

Basically SSA is one of the best companies on the market for SQL applications and their pricing has gotten better as of recently... Make sure you get Dual4 Ohm for a 1ohm load. These subwoofers are rated for 300ea. but will take approx 400-500 ea. no problem.

Does rated @ 14.4v and less and is .5 ohm stable will run those 2 subs and give them the 800-1000w they need with almost complete clean signal.

Kenwood Headunit has 3 set of 2v pre-outs nothing great but on your budget, I don't see you getting a 4 channel.

These 2 way 6x9's will match your 6.5's and take a little more than 30rms ea cheap but gets the job done never had problems with Pioneer Speakers even low-grade ones.

I'm not sure if that kenwood has HPF settings (high pass filteR) so you might need to invest in some quality crossovers for like $40 or less to eliminate the frequency issues you might run into otherwise trust me it's worth the money.

TOTAL comes to 557.97 due to shipping on the subwoofers.

It'll get really loud and sound exceptionally clean, only thing is MAKE SURE those door speakers are filtered with some sort of crossover, or you'll lost just about 50% of your SQ, Im not sure if that Kenwood has HPF but for the price it was the best I could find lol.

should i have them proffesionally installed? and anything specific i should ask when im having them installed?
