HFi's don't do rated you're probably trying to get 2500w out of it and cannot what's your electrical? 2500w is a lot with an inefficient amplifier like that if you're running stock I'm surprised ur only in the 12's and not the 11's on top of that of course your bass is gonna suck @ 12.5v it would on almost ANY amplifier most need 14.4v just to do rated.'
Also if your alternator is dropping it's probably due to heat, most vehicle charges sit around 13.5-14v if you're dropping to 12.5v without even bumping your system then you probably need your brushes cleaned or a new alternator, During the winter I rest @ 14.7v now I rest @ 13.8v when it's warm. I think you need a better amplifier and better electrical, instead of going for 2500w which is way more than those ATR's can handle get a solid 1000w amplifier from a good company.
You're going to blow that system for sure (type r's will prob go first.) I give it a week.
This was funny. The amplifier has no application to anything being discussed.
