So i have figured out the math on these and have rarely seen anything over a 10"
have any of you guys messed with these and had any good results?
I dont really care about spl.
it does intrigue me that my bar has 3x bose/amps/boxes and they have 6x 5'' fives per box.
they have pretty good sound quality.
I am currently building a 2x 10" 1/4 wave setup and tests so far sound promising.
Tuning these is insanely tricky but it's for fun.
I would imagine being able to build these on a larger scale would be great practice for building theater setups for the home applications.
I know i paid 1 k for my 2 year old oddyssey setup.
I know we have all had the wtf moment when we first heard the little boxes of the early 90's hit the low's
Just some Ideas would be great.

Depends on what you're trying to achieve but yeah Tlines can yield some heavy response for many applications I have made only 1 tline so far and failed I since have learned more about 4th orders and have preferred those. Not really much to add just saying Kudos to achieving a good tline haha.

i think im gonna be lucky if it turns out with the tuning i did the math for.

found this and its pretty handy once i played with it

bored at my cousins with no cable and no internet
so i went and bought some wood and a drill, skillsaw and jigsaw
they had the right wood there but only black and decker 4 volt tools.
i dont think i did too bad
just need to sand and carpet now

winshield wipers on front window bounce like the back one used too rofl.
I just drove around for a couple hours testing it and its a huge step up from regular porting.
the sq is a lot smoother for all the music genres i tried and the the spl is quite a bit more and i turned the amp down considerably.
So yah i would say it was a success.
if anyone wants cuts sheets for a build gimme what subs you want to do and the vehicle make and i can whip one up for you.

Not so bad imo.

I would advise for future creations, to caulk the corners of the inside of the box, and also i usually always round the edges of my box especially at the port release and the T/L brackets inside the box.

Corners are calked just used clear XD. Filled the voids behind the corner angles with quickcrete gel.
Sanded and carpeted today. The port corners are slightly rounded now that I am back in my work area. I wouldnt kerf with hand tools anyways. But if you wanted to kerf the inside corners on something like this it would work to. But doing any big curve on the port would've put the tuning off, I could in the future just have to shuffle the port measurements to get the tuning right. I also picked up 50 yards of black polymat carpet for 30$ on a clearance rack. It was pretty easy just to spray adhesive and apply.
Definately gonna dynomat everything now and get new paneling that isnt so brittle. Decided I am probably never gonna sell this car so i may as well do some permanent upgrading.
Already starting another 2 for my game room. Gonna use sonotubing for the corners instead of wedges. Finally making use of the old JL 10's i have laying in the garage.
