What is your expertise with car audio? Are you capable of building a box if I give you a Cut Sheet? Or do you know a local Carpenter that could help you out? If worse comes worse you could go to home depot and have them cut your wood for $5 and then you can take it home and assemble it VIA my design. I would choose to go with a custom enclosure tuned as it can provide better sound and accuracy as well as louder bass for your buck. For $1000 you can have a pretty mean system but theres a lot of work that comes with it like electrical upgrades and ripping your car apart :-p Anyways:
Get 2 of these for a little less than $400 shipped new with certified warranty, make sure you get 2 Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofers.http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SA%252d12.htmlThis pioneer provides 3 sets of RCA outputs for: Subwoofer Out, Rear Out, Front Out. This allows 4v output to a Monoblock amplifier and a 4 Channel amplifier from one headunit to maximize power and versatility.http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_31077_Pioneer-DEH-P8300UB.htmlThis amplifier does RATED @ 14.4v and then some with decent efficient and can dig deep and low. It will give 1700w all day to those and they'll love it.http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23547_Hifonics-Brutus-BRZ1700.1D.htmlBest wire on the market and it's CCA which has less corrosion and more wire compared to other brands it's true 0 gauge comes with incredible RCA's are well great bang for buckhttp://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KCA-PK0 (NOTE: This is for the Brutus 1700 mono block.)

Great amplifier for the money rediculous power output for a 4 channel in this price range and as we all know MB Quart is great for the pricehttp://www.amazon.com/MB-Quart-ONX4-125-4-Channel-Amplifier/dp/B005CJXISK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1329988170&sr=1-1These Kenwoods are actually amazing they sound better then any Alpine, Kicker, Rockford or Pioneers I've heard in the price range great speakers. Also the 2 front pair = 140rms, the 2 rear pair = 220rms. The amplifier does 125rms x 4 @ 4 ohm so these speakers will shine one that amplifier just make sure your front are turned down lower than the rears as the REARS can handle almost twice the power.

And of course a box that I design for you will cost around $50 tops to build but man I can tune this thing to play highs, lows, in between I can make it hit better on rock, on rap or be versatile on both I can make it more more air or less air and be louder to the ear really I can do almost anything, this is what I suggest EVERYTIME someone has a system just because you'll get 3-4x the performance from a Custom box than you would from a Pre-fab box for less money.
Little over budget @ $1265.98 for everything shipped brand new and warrantied 2+ years fully if you wanted to drop the price $200 we could cut corners on the amplifier and subwoofers but I promise you it's worth it to spend the extra money... I've heard these Sundowns and ran those Hifonics Brutus's and man if you get this setup most likely you'll be the loudest cleanest setup in town and you're going to make the chicks want to ride with you instead of your buddies :-p.
/e While I agree deadening is important it's also EXPENSIVE and should be something you do last to see what spots need to be deadened and how bad it's car's don't usually flex as bad as SUV's or Trucks it's usually just the trunk to be honest just go to home depot and buy some cheap Peel n' Seel and put 2-3 layers on your trunk that should hold you over for a good whileAlso what's the CCA and CA on your current battery? and what size stock alternator do you have? This post was edited by Hellish Orc on Feb 23 2012 03:21am
