K, I bought a new surround sound system, make my old stereo obsolete. My mom has asked about buying it off me. I'm hesitant to do this simply because of how short the speaker wires are for her home. She doesn't have one of the more modern ergonomic setups, so Id need to extend the speaker wires by a good 6 feet for the speakers, and 4-5 feet for the subwoofer.
400 watt system, RCA. Try n get the model number here later. Thx

Longer speaker wires.

Obv. But what kind should I be looking for? Do I need a special kind for the sub?
Helping in a help topic in a forum that's supposed to help, might actually help eh?

Don't get upset, you didn't actually ask a question.

14 or 16 gauge speaker wire will be fine unless you have something really powerful.

I'd use whatever you can find, it's not a lot of power honestly.

i agree 14-16 gauge wire should be what you already have either buy all new or add onto what you have should be ok. Also to be certain you could read the info on your moms speaker wires for correct size if its labled
