Everything is wired except my ground and power
The power I'm just gonna put it thru in the spot I had before

But I have no fucking idea where to wire the ground too.!!
I have a 1998 gmc Sierra extended cab

Can I put it on any metal bolt like behind the back seat? Do I absolutely have to sand down painted parts

anything ground to the chassi, but ur going to want to make it shiny for the best possible conduction

in some cases u will get noises from bad grounds

I have a s10 and I just took the tire jack that was in the back and removed a bolt, sanded it and attached the wire. Grounding is one of the easiest parts lol.

You can ground literally almost ANYWHERE that is connected to the chassi... Yes, just sandpaper it some. It will take like ~45 seconds to do the ground wire.

Power wire - you may have to run it thru the firewall.
I've never hooked one up in a 98'sierra.

frame grounds are ideal...ALWAYS to bare metal. Drill a hole and use nuts and bolts to secure your ring terminal. Remember the short the grounds the better.

ground and power wire should be installed on the opposite side of your gas tank

Make sure the ground is less than 3ft. Also make sure its the same size wire as your power. On the surface you plan on grounding, sand it down to bare metal, and use a bolt with a washer, not a screw. On the wire itself, make sure you use a Ring Terminal so its easy for the bolt to go through it.

on my 96 suburban i couldn't find a good place to go through the firewall for the power wire so i ran it along the frame, zip tied it down and then plasti dip spray all over.

just drill a hole in the floor to run the power wire through.

This is a GREAT method as well... Although I just drilled through my firewall I can't seem to believe people can't find a place in their firewall to do so since my Jeep was a bish.
