Bought the car, Prevoius owner didn't know the security code on the radio. I entered generic codes thinking i was some elite hacker. Failed too many times and the manual states I need to wait 1 hour so I can re-enter a code.... Well, it's been 4 months, the screen is still locked at the "Wait" screen

anybody know about this?? Contacted the customer service and they told me to take it out to the stealership..

OFC the stealership wants 120$ just to look at it.... so no thanks..

Anyone know what to do?? I've tried disconnecting battery but that doesn't help.

stealership should give you the code over the phone for free.

if u dunno how to work on german manufactured stuff id strongly suggest u pay the stealership

Just replace it with a new aftermarket kenwood. Oem decks are shit.
Stealership will charge you just to look at it. They won't charge to give you the code, but you're saying its stuck on the wait screen.

Tbh just get a new non oem one.

Customser service gave me a code but i still can't enter it on the wait screen....

Then I called back a different day they said I would have to take it to dealership to get the code ...

Either way, I just want it to not say "Wait" anymore ... Dumb manual says leave it on for 1 hour and it goes away... Over a period of 4 months, the wait screen should have accumulated atleast over a hour of wait time.

Seems like I will have to settle with the dealership or goto best buy... :-(

Just really looking for a cassette for ipod and basic radio, so I guess it won't be too bad

Pull the screen out and unplug it. Leave it out for a day, then put it back in.
