I want to replace my car's stereo with an msi windpad. I know I will need an amplifier. Other than that I don't know where to start. I'm not worried about a subwoofer or excessive bass as long as it plays music and is a computer I will be very happy.

What I am looking for here is advice on how to do it, how I am going to get it to power from the car battery, how I'm going to connect it to the speakers, how I'm going to mount it, how i'm going to keep it from overheating, would i be better off taking it to some pimp my ride type store and have them do it all. I'd rather do it myself though if I can.

My car is a 2008 crown victoria police interceptor if that matters, I figure I can go to a junkyard and buy a couple dashboards and chop them up to get it to fit and still look nice.

Basically any advice would be great tough I' imagine I'll get all trolls.

Oh and I have kenwood 240w 6x8 speakers in it but idk what w amplifier to get for them.
