Getting two of these at that price would save me a lot of money over buying one 1200A.
The question is, is there any loss in efficiency using two batteries over one? I'm talking a lot of difference.

That makes a lot of sense. I suppose more amps doesn't mean supplying more power at once, but rather over time.
So I'll actually be making it easier for the batteries. So just wire main battery -> new battery one -> new battery two?

oh wait i forgot you were having the large voltage drops.

adding more batteries right now would just make things worse since you have already exceeded alternator capacity.

adding another battery will just slow down the voltage drops some it will not fix it. batteries are more of a backup power supply while your alternator is the main supply.

do the big 3 upgrade in 0 gauge before you do anything else. it will allow better flow and help some.

do you have a capacitor hooked up currently? if so unhook it because it waste a lot of power if your voltage is dropping and it can get pretty hot.

sucks to say but replacing the alternator is going to be the next step most likely.

I'm running a aq1200d and an aq4x90
on zero gauge, 1 battery didn't do the big 3

wait to do the big 3 till ya need to!

uh no. in actuality doing the big 3 in 0 gauge is something you should do as soon as you get over 500rms watts. you can wait but if you have the time and money there is no reason not to do it.

Oh I know all of this already, thanks though. Doing my big three and getting the batteries at the same time. :)
I warned the old lady that I may need to upgrade the alternator if the issue isn't resolved enough.
