Ok so my bro is looking for a sys in his 09 chevy silverado.

We went to a shop last night throwing some combos around & this is what we came up with so far.

Speakers - Kicker 3way component's all the way around with 500 watt kenwood 4 chan amp

2x 10in shallow mount Kicker's in a sealed box under the seat powered by JL 500.1

As far as goals my bro listens to mostly rock/metal/etc. so he wants loud clean sounding sys with crisp bass.


Any input from Avoid, etc. would be appreciated

kickers don't sound clean. if he has never messed with aftermarket audio before he probably won't notice though.

I would get as far away from kicker as you could then.

he was thinkin bout ordering stuff online so he can go higher end. in total he wants to spend around 1000

Shallow mount, then have him go to a local place and get a box made so he can put the subs underneath the rear seats. It works great, looks great, and sounds great.
