Was looking at units today..notification system is hooked into the radio so only way people are installing aftermarket units is yu gotta buy this extra kit that has the notifiication screen that goes under your head unit. Crutchfield has them for $179 but if you buy a unit from them they will ive you 50% off the kit. Best buy wanted 199 for the kit.

Really wanna get it for my girlfriends car, but damn the g6 sucks.

How would you go about installing a full size in dash dvd than?

its not the dash kit thats costing u its the actually wiring harness and unless u know enough about how to wire it up urself and swap it id just get the plug and play kit

I'm going to assume 2 things:

1) the g6 has room for a double DIN head unit and you want to put in a DvD monitor/receiver the size of a double DIN headunit
2) the converter kit that you will need fits in the double DIN slot, but only allows a single DIN after market head unit because of the extra info display module



I would either install a single DIN dvd player with a motorized screen that pops out or cut up that adapter so there's just the section with the info display left, and mount the info display somewhere else...probably out of sight because it kind of looks like shit. That you way you can still have a info display that you can check but a full size in dash dvd player as well

Yeah that's the kit. It's like 90 bucks on crutch field and the harness is 90 bucks both 50% off when you buy a unit. I'm just gonna go with a head unit rather than a full size DVD or pop up. I could also just get rid of the dic? Not that I really use it besides the time..I don't care to see my
