I current have 1 sub attached to 1 1k watt amp and the peak on the 1 sub is near 1k watt

i wanna buy another amp + sub but i don't feel like paying $300 for it to get put in

oh, and i know absolutely nothing about car audio.

maybe better solution - better subs? The one i got in now is a 12 pioneer some dude at my bros work gave it to me fo free LOL. idk make or anything.

u may as well find a warranty installer if u are unable to install it proper your self

Google it and read up some shit. I installed my first setup completely new to car audio 3 years ago, and got through it relatively easy.
