kinda looking around do add some more bass to my car
i came across a few videos and I alwais wondered why do you have to connect your ground wire to the chassis of the car..
and where would it be optimal to mount it?

Because that's how you provide a ground to the amp? I don't understand.
You can mount your amp anywhere really, just make sure the ground is as close as possible.
It's not recommended to mount your amp to your box, common mistake.

i unbolted my driver seat, mounted amp under the drivers seat and the amp is grounded to where the seat bolts down

the ground completes the circuit, its the negative end of a battery

a mistake? what could happen? i have no knowledge at all on this

If you mount your amp to your box components inside the amp will vibrate causing your amp to not live as long.

If u mount the amp on the box u must be sure to use rubber washers between the amp and the box

but depending on the manufacture of the amp, it still may cause parts break

Where ever you mount it, make sure you do a good job of stripping away the paint and making sure the connector is touching bare metal. It should also be mounted directly on the body...not simply on a piece of metal mounted to the body.

The amp in my car is mounted in the trunk so I pulled back the carpet lining the trunk, found the strut mount, took one of the nuts off, sanded the area around the strut stud down to bare metal and made the connection there.

Another option in the trunk is to actually drill through the inside of the fender and put your own stud in. This is what a lot of people do, as it is fairly easy and provides a sure grounding point.

ty vm for that, i might just do my own hole if i cant find anything secure
