I want to upgrade my stock speakers in my truck, i already have subs and amp.
im not sure whether i want components or coaxials.
i might power them down the road sometime but idk.
i need 6.5" in the front doors and 4"x6" in the back.
what should i be looking for?

I prefer components 1000 percent over coaxials. coaxials can produce little to no mid bass. Also the separation between the mid and tweet adds a crisp acoustic sound.

Im running a set of alpine type r 6.5" components the spr 60c model, they sounded great and are cheap. I dont know if you are going to be running your new speakers on an amp or deck power but i recently purchased a crescendo 1000c4 for my mids.... it was a night and day difference going from 14rms to 125rms per component, lol. The amp was really reasonably priced too only 190.

components are the best option but cost more. depends on your budget more than anything.
