2001 accord
Running a JL 13.5 w7
JL 1000.1v2 amp
My tsumai 5 faret cap is not ood enough.. Or having problems (lights are dimming when I turn system up)

Any help would be nice :)

Using zero wires to cap and 4 o amp so cap must have zero input

ditch the cap and get a better battery and alternator. google the big three wiring diagram too. those caps dont do a damn thing.
alternator is probly on its way to the grave as it is.
get a 200amp alternator roughly 130$ and a yellowtop optima for 200$ wont have to mess with it for a long time and no dimming issues.

they still act as small batteries but they only help this situation if its only a battery size issue not a charging issue.

a 5 farad cap is large for your power needs so chances are your alternator is the problem.

this is also a possible solution http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~73496~PN~1 and needs to be done regardless.

I replaced the battery ith a optima last week..
But still dims. :(

here is easy test. turn on car unplug battery if alternator keeps the car going ur good if not replace.

dog big 3 upgrade now.

if you still have problems then your alternator is the issue. it should be 105amps which should be plenty for your setup.

I have a extra wire (ground) from battery to chassi
Now u saying I need a positive from alternator to battery?
And negative from engine o chassi?

ya do the other two. this is the most likely culprit for your problem.

Have o find out where the positive is for the alternator.... Have no clue :(
Engine should be easy (hopefully)
